Summarize

Using a Drawing Conclusion Chart organize clues and draw conclusions about Presidents and their dogs.  Then use the information from your chart to summarize Presidential Pooches.

 

Think and Compare

1. Skim pages 2 and 3 of Presidential Pooches.  Do you think people really like Presidents better when they have a pet of their own.  Explain why or why not.

 

2. If you could have any of the breads of dogs mentioned in Presidential Pooches, which one would it be?  Or would you prefer another kind of dog?  Explain your answer.

 

3. In what ways do the lives of presidential dogs differ from the lives of all other dogs?

 

Write a Description

Think of a dog that someone you know or your family owns.  Write a paragraph describing this dog and how if get along with you.
