Using the Main Idea Chart list the details and main ideas about the plants, animals, and people that live in the Sahara Desert.  Then use your chart to summarize the information.

1. Skim page 7.  Describe ways that the jerboa can escape predators that maybe lurking nearby.

2. Describe a way in which you have adapted to the climate where you live.  How is it similar to or different from the adaptations of the people who live in the Sahara?

3. Bringing water from deep under the ground has changed some parts of the desert.  Is this a good thing?  Why or why not?
